Denver Police helping the Bhutanese victims.

(Dec.23) Having experienced a number of assaults on the newly resettled immigrants in the city, the  Denver Police have started to provide them with cellphones only to make emergency calls. The cellphones are learned to have been distributed free, according to the Denver Post.

Scores  of Bhutanese, Burmese and other refugees who have chosen this city in the state of Colorado their final home have been the victims of violent physical attacks several times in the past.

Last week on December 11, at least six resettled Bhutanese in Denver were injured when a gang of some hooligans assaulted them on their way back from work.

Police have distributed around a dozen of cellphones to the victims and have been looking for Company willing to donate some more.

  1. it is highly appeaciate the way authorities in dever colorado are preparing to mantain social order in the society

  2. I strongly appreciate the steps taken by Denver police to control the assults to new immigrants. A very good step.
    However it is important to be strong ourselves to defend those assults or attacks. It is for this reason that we need to form union, so that our voice can be reached in the appropriate place.

  3. The police department have done a good work and it may bring such assult to a control but we also have to be strong to protest and defend ourselves. We have to build our community strong
