भुट्निज शरणार्थिहरुको ब्यथा र आफ्नै संस्थाहरुको कथा

क्यालिफोर्नियमा एउटा भर्खरै जन्मीएको संस्था बासकोले आफ्नो पहिलो कार्यक्रम संगीतिक रुपमा प्रस्तुत गर्न तयारी गरिरहेको छ।धेरै युवाहरुको सहभागी रहेको उक्त संस्थाले सबैलाई मद्घत गर्न उक्त कार्यक्रम गर्न लागेको हो भन्ने सुनिएको छ ।डिक पोक्वलको अद्यक्ष्यतमा खोलिएको उक्त संस्था अहिले क्यलिफोर्नियाको ओक्ल्यान्डमा धेरै सदस्य भएको संस्था बनेको देखिन्छ।हुन त अर्को पुरनो संस्था बिएसिसी पनि छ यहाँ, जो बि.बि थापाको अद्यक्ष्यतामा चलिरहेको छ।यस संस्थामा त्यती सदस्य देखिनदैन जती बासकोमा देखिन्छ ।सदस्यहरु १७-४५ बर्षका छन बासकोमा र युवाहरुमा धेरै सक्ती हुन्छ भन्ने भनाइलाई आत्मासाथ गर्दै धेरै युवालाई लिएर समाजमा केही गर्ने लक्ष्य लिएर अघीबडेका छन बासकोका अग्रजहरु।

क्यलिफोर्नियमा पुनर्स्थापित भुटानिहरुको संख्य धेरै नै पुगिसकेको छ भने यहाँ भुटानि शरणार्थी ल्याउने कार्य पनि चलिरहेको छ। बडदो आर्थिक मन्दी अनी नयाँ ठाउँको बसाइ ,भुटानी शरणार्थीहरु धेरै जसो बेरोजगार नै छन जो घरमा त्यतिक्कै बस्न बाध्य छन। घरको किराया पनि सरकारले दिने सहयोग भन्दा धेरै भएकाले पुनर्स्थापित भुटानि शरणार्थीहरुलाई किरया तिर्न नै धौ धौ हुँदै गइरहेको छ।यस्तो बेलामा खासै रोजगरी खोज्न मद्घत गर्न न बासको नै लागेको देखिन्छ न बिएसिसी नै।शरणार्थीहरु हालमा रोजगार बिहिन छन र रोजगारी खोज्न कसैको मद्घत चाहन्छन तर यस तर्फ कोही पनि सजक भएको देखिएन।पहिलेनै स्थापित भइसकेका भुटानि शरणार्थीहरुले पनि रोजगारको बारेमा बोलेको देखिन्न ,न यस तर्फ मद्घतनै गरेको देखिन्छ । ओक्ल्यान्डमा नयाँ संस्था खोलियो, संस्थाको सभा बस्यो, संस्थाले कार्यक्रम गर्‍यो भनेर लेखिएको समाचार धेरै अनलाइन समाचारपत्रमा देखिन्छ तर ओक्ल्यान्डमा पुनर्स्थापित बेरोजगार शरणार्थीलाई काम खोज्न मद्घत गरियो अनी केही युवाहरु काम पनि गर्न थालिसकेका छन भन्ने समाचार खोजेर पनि भेटिन्न। वास्तवमा यहाँको संस्थाको मुल निती नै बुझ्न गाह्रो छ। संस्थाको नितीमा मद्घत लेखिएको छ या छैन त्यो पनि बुझ्न सकिएको छैन। बेरोजगारीको संख्या हेर्दा नितिगत रुपमा कुनै संस्था पनि मद्घत गर्न खोलिएको देखिन्न।
तसर्थ यस हाम्रोसमाज.नेट मार्फत सम्पूर्ण ओक्ल्यान्डका पुरना, नयाँ अनी खोलिने संस्थाहरुलाई हरेक क्षेत्रमा मद्घत गर्ने साथै आफ्नो संस्थाको नितीमा मद्घत शब्द पनि परेको छ भनेर देखाइदिने समय आएको देखिन्छ। संस्था खोल्ने,खोलिएको अनी खोलिने कामहरु क्रमस चलिरहेका छन तर यहाँका नेपालीहरुलाई कुनै सहयोग मिलेको देखिन्न । अन्तत खोलिएका सबै सामाजिक संस्थाहरुको पनि खासै महत्व देखिन्न।(source:hamrosamaj)

Relief aid to inferno victims pours in, UNHCR set up a taskforce

Beldangi/Kathmandu: The inferno in Sector ‘E’ of Bendangi-II camp yesterday has destroyed 98 huts and at least 135 huts were voluntarily demolished to prevent fire from spreading.

The destroyed huts include units E/1, E/2, E/3, D/3 and D/4 in Beldangi-II camp.

The displaced exiled Bhutanese are taking shelter in nearby school buildings of Sector ‘E’ school and in the premises of Bhutanese Refugee Women Forum in Beldangi-II camp.

People from Beldangi-I, II and extension have donated preliminary most-basic stuffs to inferno victims today.

A relief aid committee comprising at least 60-members has been formed under the leadership of the camp secretary of Beldangi-II Narad Muni Sanyashi.

Representatives of the relief aid agencies including the UNHCR have reached the site to inspect the vulnerable situation.

According to the inspector at the Damak-based Sub-Police Post Kamal Thapa, the inferno has caused a damage of an estimated 3.27 crore Nepalese rupees.

The inferno has greatly affected the students of Grade eight who were writing their district level board examination.

At estimated 241 students affected from the inferno appeared their today’s examination at nearby Tri-Ratna Secondary School after their school Pancha-Oti English School turned into ashes.

Refugee camp-based various social and other organizations have urged the well-wishers, exiled Bhutanese abroad, aid-agencies, among others to extend all sorts of possible support to inferno victims.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued today, the UNHCR office in Nepal said a taskforce has been set up to assess the damage and coordinate assistance.

The statement said the inferno has left some 1,450 refugees homeless..

“It is tragic and we will do everything we can to help and to get shelter and food supplies to them as quickly as possible,” said Daisy Dell, UNHCR Representative in Nepal.

“Everybody around, refugees, Nepalese authorities, and UNHCR staff and its partners rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire with the help of the fire brigade from Damak and with whatever they had – water, clothes, and banana leaves,” Daisy added.

It is estimated that some 1,450 of the 20,657 refugees in Beldangi II camp are now homeless.

The statement further said that the Nepalese government has started providing emergency dry food items, WFP has already started distributing one week ration, Lutheran World Federation (LWF), through UNHCR funding, will distribute bamboos and tarpaulin sheets to construct temporary shelters and latrines to all affected families.(bhutannews)

भुटानी शरणार्थी सिबिरमा फेरी कहाली लाग्दो आगोलागी

आग्लागी सेक्टर E १ को एउटा घरबाट सुरुभएको था हुन आएको छ भने अहिले आगो नियानत्रणमा ल्याइसकेको जनाइएको छ।आग्लगीले सेक्तोर E को १,२,३,४ वटै यूनिटमा लागेको थियो र यसमा करिब् २००वोटा घरहरु जलेर सखाप भएको जनाइएको छ। तीन वोटा बारुण् यन्त्रद्वारा नियन्त्रणमा ल्याइएको आगोले गरेको क्ष्यतीको विवरण आउन बाँकी नै छ।का मनिषद्वारा अगोलागीको क्षेत्र निरिक्ष्यण गरिएको छ।भुटानी द्वारा आगो निभाउन ढिलो गरेको भन्दै चर्को नाराबाजी भएको छ।
भर्खर प्राप्त खबर अनुसार भुटानि शरणर्थी सिबिर स्तिथ बेल्डागी २ को सेक्टर E स्तिथ शरणार्थीका १८९ छाप्रा जलेर सखाप भएको छ। हिजो राती लागेको आगोमा पञ्चवती अङ्रेजी बिद्यलयको ४ कक्ष्य जलेर खरानी भएको छ। आगो कसरी लागेको हो भन्ने खबर ब्रिस्तित रुपमा प्राप्त भएको छैन। सेक्टर E बाट सुरु भएको आगोले उग्र रुप लिदै नजिकैको बिद्यलयलाई पनि भेटेको थियो।राती लागेको आगोमा कोही हताहत भएको भने छैनन।
अमेरिकाको बिरोध गर्ने भुटानि क्रान्तिकारी संघका सदस्यहरुले अमेरिका पुनर्बासको बिरोध जनाउन साधारण भुटानि जनताको घर जलाएको हो भन्छन नाम खुलाउन नचाहने एक भुटानि। भुटानि शरणार्थीको छाप्रोमा आगो भने धेरै पटक लगिसकेको छ।केही महिन आगी मात्रै गोल्ढाप सिबिर आगोले समप्त नै पारेको थियो भने त्यहाका मनिषहरु कती दिन जंगलमा बस्नु पनि परेको थियो।

Boise police arrest Bhutanese Refugee man for holding, kissing boys in Win

Boise police arrested a man Thursday, Feb 27, after he grabbed and forcibly held and kissed two young boys in a crowded supermarket. The suspect was a stranger to the boys, police said. Netra P. Mishra, 27 of Boise, is charged with kidnapping and battery.Police detectives are searching for more possible victims. On Saturday around 12:30 p.m., Boise police were called to the Winco grocery store on the 8200 block of Fairview Ave.
Store security employees were detaining a man after a woman reported to them that the man had just grabbed, forcibly kissed and held her 5-year-old son.After viewing store security video, officers found the man had also attacked a 10-year-old boy in much the same way just prior to attacking the 5 year old. It appears the older boy was also shopping with his mother. However, it appears the boy’s mother didn’t see the attack, and the boy didn’t tell her after he ran from the man. Detectives have since located the family and interviewed the boy.Officers say the evidence indicates the suspect approached the first boy and talked to him briefly as the two walked behind the boy’s mother. The boy’s mother turned out of the aisle, and the attack occurred. The boy was eventually able to wrestle himself away and run.The suspect attacked the second, younger boy just feet from his mother as she picked out items from store shelves. The suspect apparently used his body to block the mother’s view of the attack.The mother turned and saw the suspect holding her son, yelled at the suspect, and he walked away. The woman then went and alerted store employees.
Boise police detectives have learned Mishra has only been in Boise for the past month, staying with family in an apartment complex near Hartman Street and Fairview Ave.
He speaks Nepalese and does not have any immigration holds, said police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower.
Anyone with information about Mishra or possible additional victims, or anyone who may have been shopping in Winco and seen the suspect or witnessed these attacks but has not been interviewed by police is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. (IdahoStatesment online verson)

डेन्भरमा एक भुटानीले आत्मा हत्या गरे!!

कोलोराडोको डेन्भरमा पुनस्थापित एक भुटानीले हिजो आत्माहत्या गरेको समाचार त्यहावाट अन्य भुटानि मार्फत बुझिएको छ। टिमाइ शरणअर्थी केम्पवाट करीब सात महिना अघि मात्रै अमेरिकाको ‘भुटानि शरणlर्थी पुनस्थापना कार्यक्रम’ मार्फत सपरिवार यहाँ आएका करिब ३० बर्षका पदम कुमार आचार्य नामका यी मानिषले किन त्यसरी देह त्यग गरे-मुल कारण खुल्न सकिरहेको छैन। स्रोतहरुवाट मैले बुझे अनुसार उनी मानसिक रुपमा अस्वास्थ्य रहेको अपुस्ट समाचार पाइएको छ। म्रितकको आत्माको चिरशान्तिको कामना गर्दै हार्दिक समबेदना ब्याक्त गर्दछु। यस सम्बन्धमा आजबेलुकी सम्ममा बिस्त्रीत समाचार ल्याउने कोशीस गर्नेछु।

‘जेठा’ के गर्दै होला हिजो आज!!!

मेरो त्यो मासुम साथीलाई सम्झदै …..

यहाँ तस्बिरमा देखिएका मानिस् भुटानी शरणअर्थी सिबिर बेल्डाङ्गी १ का हुन जस्को खास नाम त मलाई थाहा छैन तथापी उनी सिबिरमा “जेठा” नाम ले निक्कै परिचित् छन। त्यसो त ‘जेठा’ केटाकेटीहरु माझ “कालेनी गोरेनी” नाम ले पनि सुपरिचित छन। थोरै मात्र बोल्ने यिनी मानसिक रुपमा अलिक असन्तुलित भये पनि धेरै सामाजिक थिए । गाउ घरमा ब्रत बन्ध,जप तप, काज कृया, बिहे आदी भएमा सरसफाइ तथा अन्य सहयोग गर्न टूप्लुक्क पुग्दथे। जहाँ जस्तो सुकै गीत बजे पनि यी जेठा नाच्न पुग्थे। हुनत उनी आँफै ्यक्तिगत सरसफाइ तिर उत्ती ध्यान दिने खाल्का त थिएनन तै पनि छर्छिमेक वरपरका फोहोरका झोलाहरु, मैला अनी पुराना/थोत्त्रा कपडा आदी सहि ठाउँमा लगेर फाल्थे औ त्यसो गर्न सिकाउथे । यसरी सिबिर सफा राख्नुमा जेठाको निकै ठुलो योग्दन थियो भन्दा अत्युक्ती नहोला। मलाई यी मान्छे एक हिसाबले अनौठा लाग्थ्यो। सिबिरमा कहिले काही खराब परिस्थितीका कारण कर्फ्यु लाग्थ्यो,या भनौ निसेधाग्या जारी हुन्थ्यो, सबै घर भित्र हुन्थे,सडकमा खाली सुरक्षा फौज हुन्थ्यो तर पनि यी जेठा आनन्दै हिडिरहेका हुन्थे।
आज मैले यिनको प्रसँग किन यो ब्लगमा राखे भन्नु हुन्छ भने जेठा सँग मेरो साह्रै नभुल्ने घटना घटेको छ।
एक दिनको कुरा हो,करिब ५ बर्ष अघी, म काही बाहिर बाट घर आउँदै थिए, झापाको दमक उत्रिदा रातको करिब १२ बजेको थियो। नेपालमा त्यसबेला धेरै वोटा तत्वो हरुको डर हुन्थ्यो। जङली मान्छेले पो गोली ठोक्छ कि वा आर्मीको तातो बुल्लेट पो निलिने हो कि’यस्तै यस्तै कुरा मनमा केलाउदै म डराउदै डराउदै लागे उकालो सिबिर तिर। दमक बजार सुन्सान थियो, खाली सडकका कुकुर हरु मात्रै यत्र तत्र भुकिरहेका थिए, आम्दा अस्पताल छेवैको फाल्गुनन्दको मुर्ती लाई ढोग्दै करिब ४५ मिनेट हिंडेपछि म भाङ्बरी पुगे अब भने मेरो मुटु फुट्ला जस्तो गरेर उफ्रिन थाल्यो कारण म त्यस बेला सशास्त्र प्रहरी बेस केम्प को धेरै नजिक पुगी सकेको थिए जुन बाटो हुँदै म घर जानु पर्थ्यो। प्रहरी लाई यो मान्छे राम्रै हो भन्ने लागोस भनेर म अघी देखी गीत पनि गुनगुनाउदै थिए। भाङबारी चोकको केही मास्तिर पुगे पछी मेरो पछाडि वाट मलाई बोलायो, ओय,कहा बाट आको? बोली अलिक लर्बरिएको जस्तो थियो त्यस मान्छे को। ‘काठमाडौं बाट हजुर’ मैले झन झन छिटो हिडदै काम्दै काम्दै छोटो उत्तर दिये। त्यो मान्छे दौडेर मेरो नजिक आयो,मेरो हन्सले ठाउँ छोड्यो.. यसो हेरेको त उही ‘कालेनी गोरेनी’ पो छ। मेरो छेवैमा आएर खिसिक्क हास्यो। ओये जाम घर तिर, तलाई म मिठो मिठो खाने कुरा दिन्छु, यात्रामा साथी त हुन्छ भन्ने हेतु ले मैले उस्लाई फकाउदै भने। नभन्दै जेठो अगी लाग्यो। जस्तो सुकै भये पनि यात्रामा साथी पाउदा धेरै आट आउदो रहेछ। हामी दुई साथी बेल्डाङी १ को प्रहरी बेस केम्पमा के पुगेको थियौ, छ सात जना पुलिस आएर मलाई सोध्न थाले अनी छेवैमा हासिरहेको मेरो प्यारो मित्र लाई देखाउदै मैले भने ‘सर,यो मेरो आफन्ता हो ५ दिन देखी हराएको थियो र अज भेटे यो गाडी मा चड्न मान्दैन त्यसैले मैले हिडाएर ल्याउनु पर्‍यो र यती राती भएको हो’ एकै सासमा मैले टुङ्ग्याये। ‘जाउ जाउ ।।।।।’ घर जाने अनुमती पाइयो । शायद यो जेठा नभएको भये प्रहरी ले मेरो हाड भाची दिनेथ्यो-त्यस्तो परिस्थितीमा त्य्तीराती एक्लै,मलाई त्यही गोली हान्ने थ्यो होला ,तर यसले मलाई बचायो। त्यसैले मानसिक रुपमा अलिक बिरामी भयेता पनि जेठाले मलाई ठुलो कृपा गरेको छ।
अमेरिका आउने केही दिन अघी मात्रै मैले जेठा लाई सडकमा भेटेको थिए र मेरो सेलफोन वाट यो फोटो सम्झने बिर्सने खिचिराखेको थिए। जेठो के गर्दै होला हिजो आज। उसले त मलाई चिन्दैन होला तर म उस्लाई चिन्नु मात्रै के बिर्सनै सक्दिन, किनकी उस्ले मलाई अन्जान अन्जान मै भए पनि ठुलो गुन लगाएको छ I
